Aside from the understanding of Destiny, Luck, Feng Shui, Virtue and Knowledge, in a Taoist understanding the Chinese have always understood that in reality "Man" has three types of luck that accompany him throughout his lifetime.

These are: Heavens Luck, Earth Luck and Man's Luck:

So what are these 3 Types of Luck and how do they play a part in our lives?

Heaven's Luck

This luck describes the luck I am born with - my fate, my karma or my destiny if you like.

Essentially it represents the luck I have created from before.

For instance, my kind actions and charity accumulates blessings from others and this goes towards a "credit account" I have with the universe. Likewise, the ancient chinese believed that if I take, take, take and never give back... it can put me into deficit with the universe. In fact, the law of giving and receiving is a part of the 18 conditions of Yin and Yang.

Ultimately, Heaven's Luck is the life force energy that is beyond my ability to control. It includes my astrology and the way the planets were arranged at my time of birth - how these will influence me and the types of life force energy this brings to me throughout my lifetime.

For instance, I may be born on the 1/1/2001 into an extremely wealthy family or a famous family but I myself have no control over this or how these circumstances will affect my life. Similarly, the same thing would occur if I was born on the 1/1/2001 but into a poor family. In either situation I am at the mercy of the circumstances and all the implications it can bring to my life - good or bad.

When heaven's luck is happening in your life it means that certain events and situations within life are meant to happen and nothing can usually stop it.

This is why it is considered to be "destiny", something you can't change or alter compared to something you do have the power to change.

Earth's Luck

Earth's luck is how I can tap into the influences of the earth energies to create harmonious energy and enhance my fortune.

For instance, the use of Feng Shui, Vastu Shastra, Earth Harmonies, Earth Acupuncture, Permaculture, Dowsing, Harmonisation of Earth Radiation, living in harmony with nature... all of these 'earth healing arts' tap into the "energies of the earth" and can help to put me into better harmony with "Earth's Luck" or the positive energy created by the Five Elements.

Essentially, the ancients observed that when we are in harmony with the Earth... "life goes better."

The formula for attaining access to "Earth Luck" is:

1) I need to be harnessing the currents of positive life force energy connected with the earth and the five elements - at both the seen and the unseen levels.

2) Then I need to be reducing or avoid the negative aspects of seen and unseen life force energies.

3) By having a positive flow of life force energy around me, designed for me, the Chinese believe that this can help to increase your "Man's Luck".

This is because you 'feel' better.

When we are in harmony with the currents of the life force energy flow we are naturally in tune with our surroundings, our destiny and our life. There is no doubt, we can definitley sterr our life and destiny when we have peace (as against chaos).

How Earth's Energy Can Help

Feng Shui Masters all agree that when your luck is down, Feng Shui helps to make life flow better.

Also, when people are down in luck they normally make the wrong decisions/attract negative energies in an unconscious way.

Man's Luck means the type of luck I create in my lifetime. For instance:

We pre-determine our own fortune by the things we do and it's this that creates our destiny.
