Therefore, please accept the following guidelines as being for general energies only.
Rat
Rat Born people can move into very powerful leadership positions this year – especially in business. The Rat is very well known for his/her ability to sniff out a business opportunity from 100 paces, however, this year can bring the type of prospects you’ve only ever dreamt about. For the next 2 years, not only can you cement something you’ve been working on for a long period of time, you may also develop a new opportunity which can lead to exceptional potentials.
This could also be a year where your expertise is sought out by people who have previously overlooked your talents and the things you were generating. Now all of a sudden there is interest and you could be onto something hot, hot, hot! If you keep your eye on the bigger picture and assist others to reap benefits as well – this will not go unnoticed. Avoid getting stuck in limited matters or any other time wasting activity. You definitely have a charisma that is drawing people to you this year – so make sure you stay level headed and focused.
Key months for you are April and August and if you hook up with people who are born in the year of the Dragon or the Monkey – you could be recognised for something completely revolutionary.
Avoid business relationships with Rabbit born people – the penalty that exists between the Rat and the Rabbit is too strong (unless there are other redeeming features in your Chinese astrology’s together) – especially in the year of the Rat. You will lose valuable time if you get lost in the meaningless.
This is a year of Powerful Leadership and enormous business (financial) progress. The time is almost ripe for your quantum leap. Make sure you take time out for relaxation.
Ox
This is a lucky year ahead for Ox born people. The Rat and Ox are very old friends so you will definitely enjoy the pace of this year and the surprise value it can bring. The Rat year is well-known for stepping up the pace in exactly the way you like it (thrilling all the way) and there could be enormous opportunities that emerge “out of the blue” this year.
Most Ox born people like to help others and this year, much to your delight, your natural helping talents could be put to good use. Steer clear of anyone who is jealous, not only of you but “jealous of any type of success” in general. Being around negativity like this tends to make you very nervous – so give yourself a break from people, jobs, situations like this and get yourself onto the projects your good at.
For the most part there is the chance to do the things you love doing this year. You’ll also find that any help you offer to others has a bonus attached… The positive relationships you develop with others this year can be lasting and strengthening in your life. Lucky partnerships include those born in the year of the Rat, Ox and Rooster.
Tiger
Well normally you don’t mind it if you’re busy and there’s lots of activity going on but this year, even you could be run off your feet! There’s no doubt that there will be lots of action going on but you probably wont be the centre of attention (like usual) and you wont necessarily be the one who reaps the full rewards. What you will be is completely “hooked” on the action and totally enthusiastic about where the outcome could eventually end up. You love being part of brilliant schemes and if you hang on for the ride… there could new things that come about, as a result of things that go on in this year, in the future.
This year the energy and immediate rewards definitely belongs to the Rat. Don’t try to take the limelight because you won’t get it! If you’re happy to play and active role on the edge there will be rewards but they won’t be immediate, they will be in the future.
Good partnerships can be with Pig and Dog born people. You might need to console the odd Horse born person (coz its really NOT their year) and steer clear of any grumpy Monkey born people… they will be running at pace that could leave you on the wrong side of the money bars… if you mess with them.
Rabbit
This can be a funny kind of year for Rabbit born people. On the one hand the energy of the Rat is well-known for making you a little crazy… and on the other hand if you keep your attitude high you could have a great year and even develop a new romance or revitalising an old relationship.
Whatever you do, don’t have a romance with a Rat born person (unless you have a long track record of outstanding compatibility). The two of you can be highly attracted to each other but when you actually do get together it’s…. hell!
This year, there can be a focus on dealing with some old personal issues. The truth is you need to broaden your horizons and even your attitudes about certain things. Make a promise to yourself that that you will do this, no matter what happens (because it will be different to what you want, expect or would like…). You will take such a big high-jump if you can keep an unlimited attitude and change your habit of worrying about outcomes.
If you can appreciate the differences (in people) which are needed to keep the world in balance, you’ll be able to make a lot personal progress. Remember, the Rat and the Rat years are always a bold opportunity for change. Instead of resisting and locking yourself away in the comfort of your gentle timid ways… stay on the sideline and appreciate the view. Since you may have a new romance this year, there is nothing wrong with expanding your outlook.
Dragon
This year is your year to be recognised and become a leader in your field. In fact, the power, co-operation and enthusiasm you receive from this particular Rat year will probably see you move out into the lime light very easily. However, it won’t be something you can force or control – and, not even that lovely charisma you flash from time to time will help you. Your luck and success can be very easy this year however, you will find there are certain protocols you have to go through to create lasting success and you will probably be enthusiastic to observe those requirements.
At times you may need to keep that Dragon ego in check. This is such a good year with so many opportunities abound… you don’t want to mess it up by being slightly off hand – even accidentally.
If you are teamed up with another Rat, a Monkey or a Rooster born person this has the potential to boost your progress.
Lots of money making potential this year but keep your enthusiasm primed. There’s a lot of potential in the air that could extend beyond what you can envision now. In fact, the things you do this year could create or set up new standards. Even you will be impressed with the magic that can come with this year… just stay positive, alert and primed to give. The returns will make you very happy.
Snake
This is a year where you could catch several rides on the wave of other people’s success and, if you have the right attitude about it, this just might create a new niche you’ve been looking for. There’s a good chance for you to be in the right place at the right time so be co-operative and you might find yourself with a winning ticket.
There will be a lot of vibrance and activity in this coming year – which you will welcome – especially after the year you had last year… But, you will need to know how to manage “your end of the bargain”. Make sure you are not influenced by others in the wrong way. People have more respect for us when we respect ourselves and if you need to stand up for something that could work better than what other are able to see initially – it will pay off for you, once you show others the merit of your discussion...
There are a lot of good things you can do this year. Any opportunities you set up in this year can potentially glide into next years but keep yourself unlimited. Don’t get caught up in gossip or negativity. Good partnerships this year include people who are born in the year of the Ox and Monkey.
Horse
2008 is a clashing year for those born in the year of the Horse. Even though this is not your year... it certainly won’t be short of activity. The trickiest aspect you may face though is how to get out of the way when people keep pushing your call button. On the one hand you will be under demand and on the other hand, you may not be able to do a thing right once you get there.
This year could also bring up some personal issues, but the truth is… there are lots of issues you’ve been ignoring for a long time, so looking at them is in fact, way overdue! Once you begin to check into these things… you’ll probably discover that there is a lot of congestion going on in your life – which doesn’t have to be there, but is, simply because you’re not addressing it. Self-love is at the end of the rainbow, so pucker up, face the music and the reward will be waiting for you after this year.
The first part of this year up until June will probably be exciting to some extent. Even though you find the energy of the Rat unnerving, you have to admit, they really are very good at creating and pulling off big projects. Even you will probably be impressed with the potentials this coming year of the Rat hold in store. Good partnerships this year are the Tiger, Goat and Dog.
Goat
Even though you don’t really relate to the Rat year that well, there are things going on this year that you could make you very happy. Firstly there could be a number of opportunities and projects that interest you and since you are a patient goat, you don’t mind waiting for them to grow and come into fruition. The second thing is you may be surprised – mid-year – to find out exactly how many people support an idea you’ve been mulling around. In fact, you could receive lots of encouragement and confirmation from places and people you did not expect… If this is the case then be prepared to work quietly in the background. The energies of this year don’t fully support you 100% getting what you’d like to achieve (this year), but just keep going gently and see how far you can get.
On the personal side, this can be a year where a new romance blossoms (if you don’t already have one) and existing relationships could deepen. On the other hand, if you are with someone who is not suitable, certain dynamics this year could make that issue really outstanding. Don’t be afraid to stand up for the way you would like to be treated. Caviar and flowers aside… everyone deserves respect and so do you.
Don’t worry if you find yourself lying low this year. There are a few things to put into place before you really “step out…”
Monkey
Monkeys can do very well academically this year – especially those Monkeys who are born in the year of the earth monkey. This can be a champion year for you. Lots of recognition, lots of opportunities and no-one who is bold enough to stand your way or oppose you…
You get a lot of power from the year of the Rat. Just the energy of the year gives you strength and confidence. Be really mindful of how you treat others though. Some members of the Chinese Zodiac have got long memories. Whilst we know you don’t normally give a hoot, there could be times where you wished you were a little more cautious because what goes around will definitely come back to you…
This year is very good for the expression of your skills and talents. If you team up with Rats and Dragons the combined energy of the three of you will be dynamic and powerful. No time to waste time though. There’s a lot to do this year. Remain focused and positive.
Rooster
There could be parts of 2008 that you find challenging. In fact, at times it could be like an itch you just can’t scratch properly. On the one hand there will be the demand for your undivided attention (on certain projects)… and, on the other hand… you’re not so good at following directions – even if those directions are the advice that an earthquake is headed your way!
If you don’t make or gain lots of new opportunities this year, the problem is not going to be the energy of the Rat year. The Rat year has great potential to bring great returns for everyone. If you dare to look at the real issues, you’ll find that at least 50% of these issues are going on inside of you. One issue that could come to the fore is the feeling that your leadership is being challenged. You really need to understand that no-one wants to replace you. You are really well loved for the things you do the best (and even the things you don’t do best). The difference between you and the Rat is that your job is to get up early in the morning and wake every body to new possibilities. The Rat on the other hand never sleeps. The Rat stays awake right through the night, and often, most of the day as well. This means the Rat has done the homework!
There are really important things for you to address this year regarding your own personal leadership (of you). Stop ignoring the heart things and let others take the lead from time to time. If you can do this, you’ll find that others are just as capable as you!
Even though the potentials generated by the Rat year look inconspicuous… don’t be fooled by that. If you do the math, you’ll find they-re not! Get to any issues (inside yourself) quickly because there are a lot of good things to cash in on in the year of the Rat. Make sure you don’t miss out! This year will demand lots of co-operation from you and if you can give, give, give you will definitely get, get, get!
Dog
This year there is going to be a lot of activity around you and one thing is certain – you definitely won’t understand all of it. Its not that you’re a “dumb, dumb” its more that you’re energies oscillate at a completely different level and you’re not really on the same wave length as the fast moving, sure shooting Rat.
Never mind! Definitely don’t take it personally! You will appreciate some of the results that come out of the year of the Rat. There is going to be a lot of changes go on for everyone this year and many of these changes you’re going to welcome.
You’ll probably find that the instinctive talents you have within you (for being gentle, compassionate, unbiased and understanding) is very much in demand this year and in this department you could be working overtime!
Make sure you keep some time aside to take care of yourself. Treat yourself throughout the year with weekend escapes and retreats.
Pig
You couldn’t get two more opposite ends of the stick if you tried.
The year of the Pig is all about enjoyment, frivolity; eat, drink and be merry… and the Year of the Rat is all about hard work, new opportunities, more hard work, business, business, business, more hard work… There is no doubt… that the Pig, who is highly allergic to really hard work, will feel stressed in the Rat year environment!
At times you might find yourself wondering what all the commotion is about. It’s as thought the whole planet has received a memo that you’re still waiting on. Never mind Pig, there’s romance in the air for you this year and all Pigs love a good romance…
From time to time throughout the year of the Rat, there will be so much going on around you that you just might feel as though you are walking forward on stepping stones. Luckily, there are a lot of dance moves that no-one has ever seen you perform and at different times you will probably bring a lot of cheer to those around you with your calmness, happiness and good sense of humour. Staying true to yourself will be important this year and no-one will appreciate this more than you!
