Feng Shui… What is it? And can it really help us to be more prosperous, get that romance, drive a Ferrari, have good health and become famous… (preferably in the same week)?
Feng Shui is the ancient art of arranging your environment to be in harmony with the naturally occurring life force energies in nature. Having said that, technically speaking, Feng Shui is the original study of Chinese Interior Design and Architecture. Even so, at any level, Feng Shui helps us to create positive, good energy in every area of our buildings and this has a very deep impact on the quality of our lives…
For thousands of years the Chinese have known that its possible to gather, harness and activate Good ‘Life Force Energy’ or ‘Chi’ as it is known… and for thousands of years they’ve used these methods to bring good fortune and create healthy and wealthy living conditions…
Whether it be Feng Shui for the Home, Feng Shui for setting up your desk at the Office, Feng Shui for the Bedroom, Kitchen or Bathroom… the subtle ways that Feng Shui can harmonize your energies to make you feel better is astounding.
Without any doubt I can honestly say that Feng Shui helps us to create a better life. Feng Shui or the ‘Arrangement of the Environment’ according to Feng Shui principles is a time tested formula. It involves “gathering the good chi” which naturally creates a more prosperous and healthy environment and then reducing Negative Chi – which also lives in the same environment.
The Chinese use very different methods to the first Feng Shui that was introduced to the West (late 80’s early 90’s)…
Literally translated, the words “Feng Shui” mean ‘wind and water’ and this describes the relationship between very real but subtle life force energies.
An Ancient excerpt from the Chinese Classics says:
“The Energy that’s Dissipated by the Wind…
Stops at the Boundary of Water…”
This statement means that a situation which has the potential to be very negative (creating a negative outcome) can be totally transformed and changed by another completely unknown element. So the Life Force Energy that would ordinarily be dissipated by wind will be preserved when there is a body of water because water will act as the harmonizing force for the ‘Chi’ due to the fact that the ‘Chi’ will follow its usual nature which is to hover above the water… (so deep huh)
So in this way, real Feng Shui is the observance of the nature and the things that occur in nature; and it also observes the elements that disturbs these occurrences vs what allows the occurrences to flourish. (way cool) 🙂
